Sky changing to New viewing cards

My friend a sky Instalation engineer has just told me that sky are changing everyone's viewing cards and word on the street amongst him and his colleagues is that this new card will block all open and f5 boxes etc from working !
Has anyone heard this or can shed any light on it ?

the new red card is a 0960 and can still be shared on CS

If sly want to block cs, they can. The way HD channels disappeared, they can zap SD too. Makes you wonder why they'd roll out new cards if there are no security enhancements / anti-sharing measures underpinning them.
