help with my vu duo

i am having problems with my vu,

i have blackhole on it, but my harddrive keeps knocking off and then i have to re install it so cant recored and epg will not save,

i dont know much about them so need all the help i can get, as it was all set up when i got it,

all i know is how to put a line in,

hope someone can help me out as waned it to record and cant do that

We talked about this elsewhere already and tried a few things.

High likely hood it is just a problem with the image as I had problems with blackhole before and mounting hard-drive/usb.

But first I suppose, is the hard-drive properly initialized? Mounted? and formatted?
 
not sure how do I set it up right? I would change image but don't trust my self doing it or know what to do

I don't know if it done properly as was all done for me. when it goes if I initialized it again it will work for a few days and then knock off again then I need to initialized it again don't know if I am doin it right

Your going to have to start taking note of whats told to you mate and learn. I've explained this on the other forum already.

Your using the blackhole image, press the blue button and look for Device Manager, them look at the devices mounted and what mounts they are.
 
did all that seems to Stayin on. but now got a problem with connecting my line was working fine last nite now nothing. can they be set up on wi .fi?

Sorry mate can what be set up on wi-fi? your Vu?

Are you sure its your box thats causing your line not to work?
 
I sorted my line now. problem I keep finding is the epg keeps goin works again once I re download any ideas

Prob happening when the box is being turned on and off mate

Set it up so its downloaded/forced reloaded on start up

I have done that. but still no epg for 2 days now. when I download it again it works but this time it has not

Check on your settings mate.

I wouldn't recommend saving to the hard drive as after boot up or when you haven't used the hard drive for 20 mins or so it goes to rest.

Therefore that's why I save picons and epg data on a usb key.
