Okay. Now I think this is the right place to ask this? lol.

Please excuse my 'noobness' on this, but as I am about to receive my first Cardsharing box (Skybox F5), I am trying to learn as much about the system as possible. Now as well as reading various subjects and articles on the Skybox and watching a couple of videos on YouTube. One thing really does puzzle me.

Now I know that access to a 'server' is needed for the unscrambling of channels etc. But what is this about GPRS? Am I right in thinking that you are able to complete the same task through a mobile network? i.e. The network's internet service? If so, I assume that you will need a contract with that network or at least a 'pay as you go' sim with loads of credit?

Sorry about this but I am starting from the bottom as it were. lol.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Ohhh yes. Getting my head around all this a bit better now. I have this morning successfully tested out using the Skybox F5's Wifi to connect to my (hacked) HTC Android phone (running Android Revolution) and through tethering it allowed me to use the phone's service for the data. Albeit, choppy picture. Probably down to the poor signal strength from Orange around these parts.

Still, amazing stuff.

Loving this! :D
